What do I do?
I’m Andrey Kostov, and I spend my days weaving together stories, ideas, and images that capture the pulse of life. As the President of Euroactive Bulgaria, I lead a passionate team to build bridges, connecting people through education, culture, and social impact. I guide and write projects, promote active citizenship, foster understanding, and celebrate the diversity of human experience.
Beyond that, I’m a street photographer and storyteller, roaming the streets of Sofia with my camera in hand. I chase unguarded moments the flicker of a stranger’s expression, the play of light on a quiet corner and freeze them into photographs that hold the weight of the everyday. Through Andrey’s Memories, I founded a space to share these captures, blending them with words born from my love of philosophy. I reflect on what it all means, crafting narratives that invite you to see the world through my lens.

My background
My artistic roots run deep, shaped by curiosity, observation, and a philosophical way of seeing the world. I’ve always been drawn to the raw, unpolished edges of life, and that pull found its voice through street photography. It all started quietly—wandering Sofia’s streets, chasing light, and catching fleeting stories in passing glances. Over time, it became more than just a habit; it turned into a passion for capturing what’s real—the unfiltered moments that speak louder than any script.
I never went to art school, but my education came through experience, trial and error, and an endless hunger to understand. Philosophy has been my guide, sharpening my eye for meaning and depth. I’ve spent years wrestling with the chaos and beauty of existence, and that reflection seeps into my work. Every photo I take is a question, every story I write an attempt at an answer. The streets are my canvas, and the people moving through them – unknowing collaborators in a shared moment.
